The Legal Editor is a powerful workspace designed for precision document markup. Unlike traditional PDF editors, it supports Rich Text Layers andObject Syncing, allowing you to overlay complex legal text while maintaining perfect alignment across document versions.

1. Workspace Overview

The Legal Editor operates on a fully offline-based architecture. To ensure maximum security, all document processing occurs locally within your browser; no documents are ever stored or processed in the cloud, maintaining indisputable data privacy and air-gap level protection.

3. Advanced Rich Text Layer

Overlay professionally formatted text that mimics the document's original typography for seamless amendments.

Granular Styling Engine

Enter Edit Mode to unlock full typographic control:

Dynamic Leading: Adjust line spacing (0.8x to 3x) to match base document layout.
Rich Formatting: Selective Bold, Italic, and Underline within a single text block.
List Hierarchy: Embed multi-level bulleted and numbered lists.
Alignment Sync: Left, Center, and Right justification with snap-to-grid accuracy.

4. Direct Text Modification

Unlike standard annotation layers, the Legal Editor allows you to interact directly with the original PDF text for native-style modifications.

The Redact-and-Overwrite System

Our sophisticated Text Block Detection allows you to modify existing document content without secondary software:

1. Hover & Match

Hover over existing text blocks to highlight them. The system automatically identifies the font family, size, and weight.

2. Seamless Mask

Upon clicking, the editor applies a pixel-perfect background mask that invisibly redacts the original text layer.

3. Dynamic Overlay

An editable rich text layer is synced to the same coordinates, allowing you to update contents while maintaining the "original" look.

Legal Note

Direct modifications are tracked as high-impact changes. All "Redact-and-Overwrite" operations are recorded with UTC timestamps and user IDs in the audit trail.

5. Legal Protections

Enforce document security and organizational branding through specialized protection layers.

Information Redaction

Apply secure redaction blocks. Upon export, text and metadata underneath are irreversibly stripped from the document.

Enterprise Watermarking

Apply classification watermarks (e.g., DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL) with custom transparency and 360° rotation.

6. Integrity & Finalization

Finalize your work by merging all virtual layers into a immutable PDF structure.

The Flattening Process

Clicking Save initiates a structural merge. All rich text, signatures, and annotations are rendered onto the document's static layer, preventing tampering and ensuring wide compatibility with judicial filing systems.

Collaboration Tip

Modified documents are saved as new versions. Use the Share button to distribute the finalized file via Client Connect.
