Legal Opinion
Generate specialized legal opinions, risk assessments, and compliance checks for individual documents.
The Legal Opinion Center provides a concentrated analysis of a single document. Unlike the broad cross-document Analysis engine, Legal Opinions are tailored to specific legal domains and can be requested in multiple languages with custom focus areas.
1. How to Trigger a Legal Opinion
Legal opinions are initiated from your document library. This allows you to select a specific contract, pleading, or statutory document for a deep-dive AI evaluation.
Locate the Gavel Icon in the actions column next to any document. Clicking this launches the Legal Opinion Center modal.

Once triggered, you can configure the specific parameters of the AI's analysis to ensure the output matches your intended legal context.

Opinion Types
Specialized lenses including Compliance, Tax, Litigation, Regulatory, Transaction, Due Diligence, and Title/Property. The AI adjusts its scrutiny based on these categories.
Multi-Language Support
Generate opinions in English, Hindi, Kannada, or Marathi to facilitate localization for regional stakeholders.
Custom Focus Areas
Explicitly instruct the AI to prioritize specific clauses or risks (e.g., "Review liability caps specifically").
3. Understanding the Results
The generated legal opinion is presented in a structured view inside the center.

The AI provides a detailed qualitative summary, flagging specific legal concerns, identifying contradictions, and offering professional assessments based on the chosen opinion type.

4. Professional Refinement
Once a legal opinion is generated, it is automatically transitioned into the Advanced Legal Editor. This allows legal professionals to refine the AI's output, adjust formatting, and finalize the document for formal use.

Highlight any text to trigger the AI Rewrite engine. Instruct it to simplify, expand, or fix grammar instantly.
Formal Formatting
Use the desktop-grade ribbon to apply headers, tables, and professional typography compliant with court standards.
Direct Export
Export your finalized opinion directly to PDF or DOCX with proper pagination and headers.
5. Opinion History & Regeneration
The system maintains a full audit trail of all legal opinions generated for a document. Clicking the Gavel icon on a document that already has an analysis will instantly open the History Sidebar.
From the history view, you can:
- Compare Versions: Review how different lens types (e.g. Tax vs. Compliance) interpret the same document.
- Regenerate: Trigger a fresh analysis if the document content has changed or if you need a different focus area.
- Audit Trail: Keep track of every AI interaction for compliance and professional record-keeping.
