1. The Hearings Hub
The Hearings Hub provides a high-level overview of all scheduled proceedings. It is designed for maximum scannability, allowing you to see dates, types, and participants at a glance.
Instant Search
Quickly find specific hearings by title, case name, or location using the real-time search bar.
Advanced Filters
Drill down into your schedule by filtering by Case or Hearing Type (Trial, Motion, etc.).
Data Export
Export your filtered hearing schedules to CSV for physical dossiers or external reporting.
2. How to Schedule a Hearing
Scheduling a hearing is the most critical step in the workflow. It ensures that judicial deadlines are met and that the entire legal team is aligned on the hearing's objectives.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Navigate to the Hearings Hub and click + Add Hearing.
- Enter a descriptive Hearing Title and select the Case.
- Use the Precision Picker to set the Date & Time.
- Assign Case-Related Advocates and Clients.
- Save to sync with the Team Calendar and Intelligence Feed.
Precision Scheduling
The custom Date-Time picker includes shortcuts for Today and Tomorrow, allowing for rapid entry of urgent hearings or conferences.
3. Managing Participants
Collaboration is key in litigation. JuriCloud lets you assign both Advocates (internal counsel) and Clients (external stakeholders) to any hearing.
4. Tracking Hearing Progress
Once a hearing is scheduled, it transitions through different states. You can track its lifecycle using the Tabbed Details View, where notes, outcomes, and participants are cataloged.
Mark as Complete
Update the status of a hearing from "Scheduled" to "Completed" with a single click to maintain an accurate audit trail.
Outcome Recording
Dedicated areas for recording the judge's orders, next dates, and internal strategy notes post-hearing.
