JuriCloud's Documents module is more than a file storage system; it's a Cognitive Document Hub. It unifies the standard workspace filing system with AI Research capabilities, allowing firms to move seamlessly from raw evidence to structured legal intelligence.
1. The Digital Vault & Quick Case Folders
The Lobby of the Documents module uses a case-centric organization model. Instead of a flat list, the system automatically creates Quick Case Folders for every active matter in your firm.
Automatic Indexing
Every case created in the Cases module instantly generates a corresponding folder in the Vault, ensuring no document is left unlinked.
Cross-Environment Parity
The same folders and files are accessible whether you are in the Workspace (Administrative) or Research Mode (Legal Analysis).
2. Data Management & Filtering
The Documents Table provides deep control over file metadata. Beyond simple lists, it allows you to filter and sort based on legal-specific taxonomies using the Advanced Filter Dialog.
3. Viewing & Action Intelligence
Interacting with your documents is built to be instant and context-aware. The system provides a native previewer for legal documents, eliminating the need for constant background downloads.
Native PDF Previewer
View PDFs directly in a specialized sidebar. Controls include Zoom, Page Navigation, and full-text rendering for selection.
Universal Download
Every document (PDF, DOCX, JPG) can be downloaded directly from the action column or the preview sidebar for offline use.

4. The Unified Upload Experience
Uploading a document is more than just a transfer; it's a classification event. The system ensures that every file starts its lifecycle with full context.
Case Locking
If you initiate an upload from within a specific Case, the Case Link is locked, preventing accidental misfiling.
Granular Permissions
Select specific Advocates and Clients who should have access, keeping the Contextual Vault secure.
5. AI Intelligence & Lifecycle
Once a document is in the Vault, it becomes part of the firm's Active Intel. JuriCloud provides three primary AI services accessible via document actions.
Analysis & Opinions
Generate summaries, legal critiques, or deep-dives into specific clauses. The system tracks multiple "runs" so you can refine your analysis over time.
Legally-Aware Translation
Convert documents into different languages while preserving legal terminology. Every translation is stored in a Version History linked to the source file.
Interaction History
Don't lose your work. The AI History tab stores every summary and translation generated, organized chronologically per file.
